We passed a mountain biker going the other way. He was from Colorado and was trying to do about 600 miles on the AZ Trail on his current trip. He was in his 13th day of riding and a had one or two days more to go. We had a long chat. Bikers can't go through official wilderness areas (of which there are several on the AZ Trail - Superstitiolns, Mazatzal's, etc.), but must go around these areas.
