Having driven nearly 200 miles, unloaded the bikes, put on sun screen, used the "john" (one of the bushes in the background), we are now ready to begin the trek through the Babbitt Ranch. This view is looking north toward the Grand Canyon about 40 miles away. The Tubb camp, the main ranch headquarters, on the old Babbitt Ranch is 4.5 miles away and a good turn around point is where the AZ Trail crosses under some high tension power lines, about 10 miles in the distance. We will proceed past the Tubb Camp without stopping, but stop there on the way back.
