Humpreys Peak (12,637 feet elevation) as seen from where the Abineau trail peaks out at about 10,300 feet elevation. This was our turn around point after hiking from the 8,500 feet elevation trailhead 2.5 miles back down the trail. Access to the peak is not permitted from here - darn! After gaining 1,800 feet in elevation on our hike to this point, we are ready to gain another 2,300 feet - NOT)
