At last after 4 miles, we reach the trailhead for the Tramway Trail. The trail was built by the Verde District Sportsmen Club in 1942 in order to construct a tramway with cable access to the canyon floor. The tramway was installed to help transport fish to stock West Clear Creek and was used until about 1966. The cable can still be seen at some points along the trail.
