Is that a "squared off" spiral just to the right of center here? According to Patterson, the Zuni and Puebloan people both used spirals in their petroglyphs. In the Puebloan culture spirals were used as representations "of wind, water and creatures associatd with water such as serpents and snails." In the Zuni culture, spirals often mean "journey of the people in search of the Center," which relates to their mythical beginnings.
