1 On Saturday, Day 5, Barb, Laura, Scott and Don set off for the Grand Canyon. This is Scott's cellphone picture of a stuffed elk along the side of the road. Only kidding about the "stuffed" part. This elk had walked across the road in front of our car, only about 5 to 10 feet away.

3 A two picture composite of the Grand Canyon from outside the old (1902) El Tovar Hotel. The canyon is 20 miles across and 1 mile deep. Just a hole in the ground that you can't farm, as one of Roberta's uncles said after he saw it.
